Full step by step walkthrough solution that will help you escape from the bakery... alive!  This is a point-and-click room escape game.  You went to the bakery to get some fresh muffins.  You walked inside and no one was around.  When you tried to leave you noticed the door is locked!  Now... you must escape the bakery.  This guide will give you detailed explanations and full instructions with screen-prints on how to escape. All the tips, tricks and help you need!  Play must escape the bakery here.

You start at the bread & rolls section:

Go right to the cake section:

Go right to the coffee tables

Go right to the employees only door

Take the butter knife from the pie (top shelf on the right)

Go right to the cake room.
Zoom in on the till
Use the butter knife to open the money box:

Take the silver key.

Go right to the employees only door.
Use the silver key to open the door.  Enter.

Take the mop from the mop trolley.

Read the note on the black board - "no accidents in 729 days"
Open the yellow chest with the code 729

Take the wrench.

Go right tot the kitchen area

The drain is blocked.  Use the wrench to unblock the pipe under the sink.
Take the golden key from the sink.

Go right.

Take the empty coffee mug.
Take the mixer hook from the bottom rack of the table.

Go right to the oven room.

Open the ovens.
Zoom in on the tray with the dough
Beak open the brown colored dough:

Take the green gem.

Go left and get back in the store via the door.

Go right to the coffee tables room.
Use the coffee mug to get some hot coffee from the coffee machine.
Use the mop to clean up the spilled coffee on the floor between the 2 tables.
Notice the colors: red, white, black, red:

Unlock the cupboard under the coffee machine using the golden key.

Take the electric cord.
Zoom in on the grey box and open using the colors you saw in the circles on he floor: red, white, black, red.
Take the black key inside.

Go right and enter the employees only door.
Go right.
Open the drawer using the black key.

Zoom in on the drawer and take the screwdriver.

Open the fridge
Use the hot coffee on the ice cube at the top

Take the blue gem.

Go right, then exit at the door.
Go right 3 rooms until you are at the bread and rolls room where you started.
Use the screwdriver to remove the plank a the bottom left corner of the cake display

Take the red gem.

Go through the employees only door.
Go right to the dough machine
Insert the cord.
Insert the hook.
Turn on the mixer

Take the orange gem.

Go left.
Zoom in on the grey box at the lower rack on the table.
Insert the 4 colored gems and open.

Take the purple key.

Exit back to the shop floor.
Go to the front doors where you started
Use the purple key to unlock the door and escape:


Well done! You managed to escape the bakery... alive!

You start your escape at the clock mechanics

Go right

Move the brown box to the right, under the nut.  We will use it a bit later.

Go right to the top of the 5th floor

Notice the date 1972 on the barrel

Go down to the 4th floor

Go left

Open the red box with the code 1972

Take the wrench.

Go right, up, left to the brown box that you moved.
Use the wrench on the nut above the box
Take the cog.

Go right, down, left (the red box room)

Use the cog on the open peg.
Pull the lever.  The gate will open.
Go left.

Go down to the 3rd floor

Open the door under the stairs and take the crowbar

Go up, right , right and use the crowbar to open the jammed door under the stairs.
Look at the boot, then turn it to study the under side.
Take the silver key glued to the base.

Go left, left, down, right

Go right

Go down to the 2nd floor

Look at the white book on the shelf.  Notice the color patterns on it: green, red, yellow, blue
Zoom in on the book and open using this set of colors
Take the piece of cog inside.

Go left

Move the plate and take the piece of cog

Go left.

Take the top box
Go down, right, right and place the box
Go back and do the same with the other 2 boxes

Take the linch pin from the end of the pipe on the right.

Take the black key from the pocket of the jacket.

Go left and up all the way to the 5th floor.
Go left.
Open the door with the silver key

Open the green box with the code blue, yellow, green (as per the 3 color frames next to it, from small to large)

Take the glue.

Zoom in on the box under the table, Take the cog piece.  Hint: If there is no cog piece, try another box,  You might have to move the screws to see the cog.
Zoom in on the black circle on the table
Add the 3 pieces of cog.
Use the glue to glue the pieces together

Take the cog out of the mold.

Go down to the 2nd floor the left to the room with the lever, cog, table and 2 chairs.
Attach the missing cog
Pull the lever

Take the hammer and  screwdriver from the toolbox.

Go all the way back to where you repaired the cog.
Use the hammer on the piece of wood.

Take the wooden rod

Go down to the 3rd floor and 1 room right.

Open the fireplace a lit the rod.  You now have a torch.

Go down to the 1st floor
Open the door under the stairs
Use the torch on the cow-webs

Take the blue key.


Go up and back to the room with the fire place (on the 3rd floor)
Use the black key on the door

Open the cabinet with the blue key
Take the big gear.

Go down to the 1st floor and right to the room with the yellow flag

Light the 2 candles with the torch
The flag will raise.
Use the screwdriver to remove the 4 screws

Take the medium gear.

Go up to the 5th floor and all the way left to the clock.
Insert the medium gear
Insert the large gear
Insert the pin
The clock will turn and the golden key will drop

Pick up the golden key

Go down to the 1st floor and all the way right.
Open the door using the golden key



Congratulations!  You escaped the Clock Tower.

Must have Thunderbird to Outlook conversion tool

I recently decided to convert my Thunderbird email to Outlook and didnt have a lot of luck finding a tool that actually worked. Maybe its because I have a pretty complex Thunderbird configuration with emails dating back to my first messages I sent/received using Netscape Mail (remember that from the 1990s?) .

I came across a tool that was a perfect fit what I needed: Aid4Mail Professional by Fookes Software. It seemed too good to be true but it actually worked! Aid4Mail was relatively quick and I ended up with a .pst file that I could use in Outlook. What I appreciated just as much as the software was the service. I ended up needing some extra help and Julian was very prompt in his replies.

If youre going to buy it, pay the $20 extra and get the 1-year license rather than the 1-time use license. My decision to purchase the latter was part of why I had to bug Julian several times but he ended up geting me out of the bind I was in. Im probably going to need to acquire another license (1 year this time!) because I still have some work to do but at least I now know what tool to use for this purpose.

Definitely a tool worth checking out if youre one of the prideful few like myself who is still using Thunderbird or any of the other old-school email clients that Aid4Mail supports (i.e. Windows Mail, Apple Mail, Eudora, Pegasus, etc).
