My Pregnancy Journal Week 14

      So we were blessed to announce the news of our expected 9th child a couple of weeks ago to our family and friends. This was made even more special because our sweet friend and photographer Tammy Stayton, took pictures of our family to announce our big news. We even waited to tell the kids until our photo shoot, so that Tammy could capture our children finding out about the new baby.

     We had already told the kids to line up in birth order and I handed them a number to hold that corresponded. Once every one was lined up and Tammy was ready, I pulled out the #9 sign.

     "Um, wait a minute?!!" I said. "Whats this? Why do we have a #9...what do you think that means??"

      My know-it-all G12 replied, "Mom, thats an upside down 6." Hmmmmm.

     "No," Dad said, "thats a #9. Why do you think we have it?!"

    Here is their reaction...

G12 finally gets it!

They were definitely surprised, which surprised me. I figured the older ones had noticed how sick I had been for the prior couple weeks and were already in the know.

E9 was most expressive. I asked him what this look was all about and he said he was thinking about all the dirty diapers!

L4 looks so sweet here. Its hard to imagine I started this blog when I was expecting her.

Here the little ones try to figure out what it all means.

I had my second appointment this morning and all is well. Once again, we heard a strong heartbeat and my midwife says it definitely feels like a baby #9 in there and not a baby #9 and 10. Also, I was excited to schedule our ultrasound for the next visit in mid-January. We always find out what we are having and Ive been pinning ideas for a gender reveal party. What do you think? Should we do a gender reveal party? Still trying to decide.

My Life Squared 1 17 14 1 23 14

Here is "My Life Squared", some of the moments I captured over the past week.

SO... my hubby and I love the Green brothers, Hank and John. We watch their educational shows on YouTube and follow their channel, The Vlog Brothers. John has written several books one of which, "The Fault In Our Stars" has been made into a movie which will come out June, 6 2014! John made a video of himself reading the first two chapters of this book which is where my hubby and I got hooked. We bought the book on cd, which is read by John himself. We bought the book, OH and I got myself the t-shirt over the weekend (tee hee). Seriously, we laughed out loud, I sobbed violently. I love this book and cant wait for the movie!! I started reading the book again last night, just because there are so many great lines. You may just see a little movie premiere party action going on over at D & P Celebrations for the Summer issue of Polka Dot Balloon Magazine *wink wink.

Dawn and I have a little design challenge going on for our design team over at D & P. Our designers have been challenged to use our new "Love Birds" squares. I grabbed some fun $1 spot items from Target, some fabric buttons from JoAnnes and some twine from The Twinery and cant wait to get my challenge game on!

Did you hear??? The Broncos are going to the Super Bowl. Well living in Colorado there is no way you can not know about this news. These are some printables I created for D & P Celebrations for our local friends who will be hosting parties and cheering on the ol Orange and Blue on February 2014!

Is it Spring yet is it Spring yet??? Seriously....I am SO tired of the cold and snow already! While at Target I grabbed some of this cute 8" x 8" pattern paper, buttons and flag pins in fun bright and cheery colors (found in the dollar spot hooray) to go along with some NEW die cut cards I will be putting in the shop soon. Cant wait to play and make some fun festive cards!!!

MY LIFE SQUARED 9 1 14 9 15 14 EVERYDAY LIFE

Here is "My Life Squared", some of the moments I captured over the past few weeks.

Since school has started back up I have been able to do a bit more creative stuff. Here are some boxes I created with a beautiful watercolor print. These were part of a nautical wedding photo shoot and I cant wait to see how everything turned out!!

My oldest son, Tyler and I have started making fun little felt creatures called Squatles. Tyler creates some of the "nerdy" designed Squatles while I create some of the "cutesy" Squatles. Take a look at our little blog as well as our Etsy shop.

In addition to our Squatles we will be adding other fun felt creations. Here is a 4 bunting that fits perfectly across a front door, we will also have 6 and 8 lengths available in October 2014!! I am personally in love with this particular color scheme of blush, charcoal, oatmeal and mustard, it screams Fall to me.

For the rest of the month I will be creating some more fun watercolor boxes for a big wedding event that I will be sharing more about mid October. I will be taking a short trip to Iowa to see family, which I will be sharing on Instagram so follow along over there. Last, I will be creating a ton more felty goodness with Tyler for the Squatles shop and Pumpkin Fest here in Littleton which is the second weekend in October. (more details on that later as well).

Here is "My Life Squared", some of the moments I captured over the past several weeks. (Holiday Break)

My daughter had a Beanie Boo themed Christmas. I just might be addicted too! Come on, look at those big eyes!!

On the 28th our oldest turned 17. For his birthday dinner he wanted The Cheesecake Factory, no complaints here!

On the 4th we had a Beanie Boo themed sleep over birthday party for Aly and one of her friends. Who knew Beanie Boos loved Paris and fashion??

On the 6th we celebrated Alys 9th birthday at her place of choice, Texas Roadhouse. Yes, my daughter wanted to go there for the Mac-n-cheese and most of all, to ride on the saddle and be sung to. Goofy girl!

Lots of board games over break, even our dog Gracie wanted to play. What better way to end the long break, Christmas and two birthdays. Glad things are getting back to normal. I am exhausted!
