Morning training

Morning training

My recent morning routine, just after waking up and before breakfast:

A. full body mobility routine
B. dynamic stretching lower body + upper body
C1. ecc one arm chinups 1 rep per side lowering 4-10 sec
and going up with the help of the other hand pinky finger only
C2. 15 sec one handed elbow lever one rep per side
D. extra training - this varies from morning to morning,
sometimes some jumping pistols, some times muscleups or
some kind of handstand work or pressing

The intention is to reach the one arm chinup again in both arms, and to improve control in the one handed elbow lever - to 60 second total time without touching the floor.
Usualy afterwards I do some dousing with cold water - 3 buckets on my head or swimming in the sea.
Then come breakfast - some kind of a protein rich in L-tyrosin - omega 3 eggs or red meat with a handfull of nuts and my morning supplements. This is the ultimate breakfast choice for someone looking for energy in the morning, as opposed to the old school and wrong view of a carb loaded breakfast. This bad choice would lead you to play the insulin-blood sugar rollercoaster game the whole day, while feeling drained of energy and tired. Try it.

Montessori Morning Activities Starting a new rhythm

Montessori Morning Activities Starting a new rhythm

Today was the first day of kindergarten for my oldest daughter. Kindergarten in our town is a four day program with 3 half days and one full day. Before today I thought a lot about what this new schedule would mean for my youngest daughter (turning four next month). I had no idea what she would want to do with her sister now off at school four mornings a week. I thought about keeping to our typical morning play routine and then I thought about setting up activities, but ultimately I held off from doing anything to see what naturally occurred. What naturally occurred was a request for activities and to do something me. Being completely unprepared, I went to our Montessori closet and put together a few activities and just like that a new part of our morning rhythm was established.

We played a favorite game with the Mystery Bag- always fun.

She used the dropper, colored water and suction cups.

And when she finished, she especially like my demonstration of dipping the corner of the sponge into each suction cup so the sponge "can drink it up (slurping sound included)"

She practiced pouring into different sized containers.

And she wiped up spills.

My daughter worked on all of the activities and then we made and she used playdough to finish off the morning. I found the best place to store the activities was with the table they would be used with. Using the top two shelves of a bookcase I placed the activities where she could reach them. There are five there now and I feel like this is a good amount. Its simplicity makes it inviting and accessible for her. My plan is to change the activities on a weekly basis and to have mostly practical life and sensorial activities on the shelves. Below are close up photos of the activities I (quickly!) put together for this week.

Pouring Water Into Different Sized Glasses

Transferring Marbles Using Strawberry Huller

Using A Dropper

Metal Insets: Circle

We are also back into our non-summer rhythm with Monday Painting, Tuesday Journal Drawing, Wednesday Craft, Thursday Baking, and (new) Friday Montessori Activities (for my kindergarten). All this in addition to songs and finger plays again. I like the lack of routine the summer months bring us but feel so energized and excited to be back to our former rhythm once again.

Monday Morning

Monday Morning

Outside all is Monday drizzle and February dissatisfaction. Inside is peeling hands, radio jollity and books about bread. My hands are peeling because I cleaned some bits of the housing co-op we live in yesterday and didnt wear gloves. My hands look interestingly elderly, much like the time I tried to dye some hot pants (I was not wearing them at the time) and managed to get black dye all over my hands so had to soak them in bleach. They turned from black to red pretty quickly.

The radio is bordering between annoying and merry.

Ben wants to know whether or not I like rye bread.

Someone is banging and crashing around outside, but I cannot quite face the walk to the window to investigate.

Last week was half term so I didnt have to go to any of the schools I am currently doing projects in, which was a total joy. I swore to myself that I was going to Make The Most Of The Time by being extra creative and probably making some quite staggering leaps in the worlds of science and maths. As it turned out I was a bit creative and did nothing to further scientific progress whatsoever (unless the whole peeling hands thing can help somehow?).

Today, though, all is back to normal, and I must go to a school to run a drama club later on. Oh, you are thinking, that sounds lovely! How sweet! Well, yes. I am trying to feel that way about it too. (WARNING: DO NOT BLOG ABOUT WORK IT IS DANGEROUS! ABORT TRAIN OF THOUGHT NOW.)

Before that I am going to go swimming. After going swimming last week I wrote about my very mixed feelings towards it. Here, for your procrastination, are those thoughts.

*****

I just went swimming. I love it. I love sinking my head underneath the cool surface and then pushing out, chin up, to feel my hair sweeping back from my face. I love pushing off from the wall and aiming deep, with long, frog-like strokes pushing me towards the bottom until I have to come up for air. Before I started wearing goggles I never realized that swimming for exercise could be fun, but I love having open eyes in an underwater world. Watching the shimmering white webs of reflection on the bottom of the pool, stretching my arms towards them as I pull myself, suddenly light, through the blue water. Before googles I would have to swim, neck craned up, eyes squinting and ears pummeled by the echoing pool shouting and splashing. The difference is immense. I can hide in goggles. I feel in disguise, like I am shielded from normal interaction by having my eyes covered. I am a superhero of the slow lane.

I hate, totally and deeply loathe, every single moment until I get into the water. I hate queuing at the front desk. I hate the sodden, half-way between pool and outside world changing rooms with their sometimes muddy floors and the pants someone has accidentally left behind having inexplicably forgotten to put them on. I hate having to shove my stuff into a locker, something always threatens to leap out at the last minute, leaving me scrabbling on the wet tiles for a stray sock or pair of knickers. I hate that half the people are dressed and half are not. I hate the men, who appraise half-heartedly and leave me wanting to put many, many more clothes on. God, I hate walking along the side of the pool, covered only by the thinnest of purple sheen. I stare upwards and tell myself nobody cares, nobody is looking. Sometimes I see other people strutting, trotting or loping along, chatting or dreaming, and I wonder whether they too feel agonized by those transition moments.

Once I am in and my eyes are covered I am anonymous and dive through my imagination, back and forward. I watch the clock with half an eye.

Time spins and I swim, and eventually I have to get out, so I swim to the edge and cling with one hand to the steps while I adjust my swimming costume, pushing breasts under material as each one in turn tries to float helpfully to the surface. Hooking my thumbs into crucial bits of costume and tweaking, I push my chin in the air as I exit, and pretend to be rubbing my neck as I walk, covering my chest and trying to seem relaxed.

In the shower I stand facing the wall until I am finished, and walk, fake-relaxed, to my locker, around which three teenage boys have clustered. They are dressed for the outside and poised in strut-mode, confident and uproarious. I push through them, dripping and feeling horribly, painfully naked. I breathe in and pretend they aren’t there, they fall silent but do not move. I get my towel and wrap it quickly, then retrieve the rest of my things and make my way to a cubicle.

*****

So I will swim and then face the most difficult bit of my week at the moment (weirdly enough for something that seems as innocuous and adorable as a drama club - like a firebreathing puppy). Then it will all be over and I will have lived through it and the rest of my week will feel easier.

I am watching the clock in agony, knowing that soon I have to leave and then it will all nearly be happening. Time is being hugely unfair by refusing to skip past the shitty bits. Time is a bastard.

Morning Vs Night Workout Which To Choose

Morning Vs Night Workout Which To Choose

CRB Tech reviews feels that the question that worries most of the gym goers is, is it better to workout in the morning or night for weight loss? We will try to answer this question in the following article.

Morning-vs-Night-Workout

Guess what?

You could have an answer to this question by the end of the article. So, its basically working out at night vs morning.

A study busts the myth that only a morning workout yields the best results and says the individuals who go to the gym or for a run post work may simply accomplish a more elevated amount of fitness than the individuals who practice first thing in the morning as the bodys digestion system adjusts better to a routine at night or evening time, particularly amid winter.

Psychologists are progressively diving into the connection amongst exercise and emotional well-being, and have been upholding the advantages of a pursue post a stressful day. Pop artist Lady Gaga has even procured an all day and all night trainer for her 2 am workout and back in our city, more individuals are agreeable to the evening regimen, as well.

Pros:

1. Mood and energy booster:

Working out in the morning benefits includes; it invigorates the bodys endorphins and other mood-elevators which abandon you in a superior temper for the remains of the day. A study by the University of Bristol additionally found that the individuals who work out before office are more empowered, quiet and productive.

Working out in the morning is said to support digestive system. A site cites Dr Cedric Bryant of the American Council of Exercise as saying, "Morning workouts result in better energy levels throughout the day and give you more mental alertness and sharpness."

2. A better nights sleep:

Research from the Appalachian State University finds that those lifting weights at 7 am fell off to sleep quicker than the individuals who did as such amid the evening or later. Specialists say the reason that a morning workout abandons one depleted and encountering lost concentrations lone implies that he or she should re-look at the sleeping plan and inquire as to whether it is sufficient.

3. Helps remove steam from the day:

Had a tiresome day at the workplace? Nothing matches at all like an evening time sweat out that dispense with stress, nerves and disappointments. Exercising at night can clear the brain and give it the fresh start it needs before you invest energy with the family during the evening. One of the benefits of exercising at night

Cons:

1. One needs to wake up:

In case youre not the person to wake up early, getting up in the morning can be greatly troublesome, particularly on a repeating premise. Bryant cautions that in case youre not used to exercising in the mornings and constrain yourself to get up, you may not put as much exertion into the workout as you would later in the day. Likewise, in the event that you arent careful, you can upset your rest plan, which can prompt to lack of sleep.

2. More time warming up:

Hitting the gum before work may likewise be extreme as it can hamper your routine. Amid the morning everything needs to go predictably — breakfast at a specific time, then a particular train or bus transport to get, scheduled meetings and so on. Therefore, working out in the morning can disrupt this schedule.

3. Change in dinner time:

Since youre working out before sleeping time guarantee that you time your suppers right (1.5 hours amongst supper and a workout is perfect). Tucking into a substantial dinner and after that working out prompts to poor digestion of food. Along these lines, you may need to stop late work hours and different plans and eat first.

4. Canceling factor:

Theres a more noteworthy possibility of diversions propping up on your schedule at late night or night — like a movie, night out with companions and so on, that can wreck your exercise regimen and make you skip the gym.

This should be sufficient information for deciding what are the best times to work out for you. So, its for you to decide as to which way to go about this. You can also try and find out answers to questions like is it better to workout on an empty stomach? is it better to workout before or after eating? Which would help you to come to a decision.

CRB Tech reviews wishes the best of health for you.

Morning training at the beach of Haifa Israel

Morning training at the beach of Haifa Israel

I usualy spend my mornings training by myself. Sometimes I do it in my house, other times I like to get out and get some fresh air. My training consists of a some joint mobility, dynamic stretching, and elements from Capoeira, slacklining, some kind of of strength training, gymnastics and other diciplines.
One morning a few weeks ago, I was training as usual at the beach and a strange guy came up to me to ask what the hell was I doing and if he can take some pictures. I recieved them today. Enjoy, and please, people, lets hear some comments...
