Morbid Enterprises Freddy Krueger Door Knocker
Its time for yet another Morbid Enterprises product review! This time around were taking a look at the A Nightmare on Elm Street Freddy Krueger DOOR KNOCKER! While this is technically called a "door knocker" the glove doesnt so much knock as it does scrape the blades along the connected surface, which is actually perfect considering the character its mimicking.
The retail on this guy varies but its typically around $39.99 depending on the website. Id say thats a pretty fair price for the functionality displayed. Essentially you just affix this to your door and when any Trick r Treater gets too close it will go off. The arm and glove move up and down as a quote from the film plays. The animatronic feature is pretty strong on this one and I dont imagine it weakening over time, though I will mention this guy runs on three double A batteries so you might want to have a few back ups handy!
The glove and blades are both plastic though the blades fill a bit more rigid, the paint is decent with a bronze wash over the "metal" portions of the glove giving things an old "beat up" look. The sweater has the forest green stripes featured in all of the ANOES sequels.
There are dozens of places carrying this product for the upcoming Halloween season, Spirit Halloween has a pretty good price and Im sure theres a few online coupons to be had if you look hard enough. Id say this is a must for home haunters and fans of the Springwood Slasher.
